The wait is almost over and the update many Allods fans have been waiting for is almost here. That's right, guilds with fleets of astral ships can finally battle to control astral sectors and all the spoils that come with it. The new episode is called Volume 3: The Fury of War, and is mainly about new sectors and allods that see guilds vying to control contested sectors with the League and Empire butting heads in the massive guild-controlled astral ships.

The update is just huge, absolutely massive, and possibly gPotato and Astrum Nival’s attempt to thwart player-loss to the new World of Warcraft: Cataclysm update. In fact, as it stands, Allods online is probably WoW’s biggest competition right now, given that it’s very similar except better looking, slightly more hardcore and focuses more on console-style gameplay rather than the typical PC MMORPG setup.

As stated in the press release…
The biggest content additions in Volume 3: The Fury of War come in the form of two entirely new zones, comprising two level 40+ PvP area named Melting Isle and the Junes Catacombs, a level 40+ allod called the Lost Isle, and, finally, a complete player-controlled astral sector split into 3 tiers with ten fresh allods open for assault and control by player guilds.

The new update is scheduled to go live shortly before Christmas, giving gamers time to soak in some of the goodness before opening up holiday presents and getting in that festive mood that so many people seem to do around that time.

Remember, Allods Online is entirely free-to-play and there’s no obligations or subscriptions. If your PC can handle the game feel free to download the client over at the Official Website.
