Weekly Recap: Assassin's Creed Unity Resolution Debate And 5 Other Hefty Stories

Resolution and frame-rate are going to be the constant factors of what a lot of gamers use to distinguish next-gen gameplay experiences. With the leap in graphics being so minimal (so far) the big takeaway for most gamers is smoother gameplay, less input lag, no more screen-tearing and a cleaner picture. However, going from the top-end of 1080p at 30fps for some games in seventh-gen gaming to what appears to be a standard of 900p at 30fps in eighth-gen gaming, has left a lot of gamers with a sour taste in their mouths.

Assassin's Creed Unity is one of those games that has been hit with the spec parity hammer and a lot of PlayStation owners are very displeased with this. Of course, there are a lot more stories that also managed to fill up the headlines, and you can them out in this October 11th, 2014 edition of the Gaming Blend Weekly Recap.
