By now, it’s incredibly clear that Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson isn’t exactly a fan of Sean “Diddy” Combs. Fiddy and Diddy were somewhat friendly back in the day but, over the last few years, the former has trolled the Sean John founder amid his various legal issues. Jackson hasn’t found a variety of ways to take jabs at Combs whether it be on social media or during events. 50 is keeping the quips going, as he just skewered Diddy again by taking aim at his reported solitary confinement in prison.
Diddy is currently serving out his four-year (or 50 month) sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey and, since then, there have been reports about what he’s been up to behind bars. At the end of July, it was reported that the Grammy winner became involved in a prison fight and was placed in solitary confinement as a result. The news eventually reached 50 Cent, who joked about it during his performance at LIV Beach in Las Vegas. Per footage captured by TMZ, Jackson said this during the event:
You could've been anywhere, you picked being here. Thank you. You coulda been in Fort Dix with Puffy in the box.
As can be heard in the clip, those remarks were met by some laughter by those in the crowd. Concrete details on Diddy’s stay in “the box” are scarce at the moment, though insiders initially reported that the ex-rapper’s alleged scuffle with a fellow inmate could have serious consequences. Insiders have since claimed that Combs isn’t worried about negative attention, because he purportedly likes the publicity. If that’s true, though, I’m not sure if he would appreciate the kind of attention Fiddy just drummed up for him.
Jackson has found a myriad of ways to take shots at Diddy and, during the latter’s 2025 trial, 50’s social media account served as a source of various critiques. The G-Unit alum even mockingly chastised Combs’ legal team amid the court case, musing that they were doing him “dirty.” On another occasion, Jackson also rained dollar bills on a woman in a nightclub who flashed an “I hate Diddy too” message at him from her phone. Jackson’s jokes even extend to Combs’ kids from time to time.
Many believed 50 Cent had taken his trolling to another level when he signed on to produce the three-part docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning. Jackson later denied claims that he made the critically acclaimed (and now-Emmy-nominated) documentary out of spite. The “Just a Lil Bit” performer said his reason for making the production was rooted in a desire to show that a segment of the hip-hop community wanted to hold Diddy accountable for his reported actions.
Sean Combs was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and acquitted on sex-trafficking and racketeering, which were the more serious offenses. As it stands, he’s set to be released from Fort Dix on January 24, 2028, though the former mogul and his team are still looking to appeal his sentence. In the meantime, it seems 50 Cent is still content with making jokes at Diddy’s expense.
