A new series of screenshots have been released for the officially licensed Ferrari F40 in Kunos Simulazioni's upcoming realistic racing simulator for PC, Assetto Corsa. The car is an iconic vintage legacy of the 1980s racing scene and it joins its fellow brother, the Ferrari 458 Italia on Assetto Corsa's roster.

The game is a die-hard focus on simulation above all else. Many PC gamers crave realism out of physics-based flight, racing and nautical simulators and Kunos is hoping to bring a noteworthy addition to the table with Assetto Corsa, which is running on the latest DirectX 11 technology and aims to envisage the heart and soul of high-speed, professional sports car driving in the digital gaming arena.

Kunos is facing stiff competition from Slightly Mad Studios, however, as the latter has a near photorealistic game on their hands in Project CARS.

You can check out the new screenshots of the Ferrari F40 below, but that's not the only treat Kunos has in store for gamers today. The company also released a brand new tech video to enumerate some of the changes, updates, upgrades and patches the team has made in improving the racing experience in Assetto Corsa. You can check out the new video below.

Also, if you'd like to see more of these kind of games on your favorite digital distributor, feel free to give Assetto Corsa an upvote and a favorite on Steam's Greenlight Page.
