Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D, Tap Tap Revenge Are App Store Champions

As the App Store nears the one billion downloads mark, Apple has revealed the applications that have gotten the most attention from iPhone and iPod Touch users.
Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D was the most downloaded premium app (priced at $5.99) while musical game Tap Tap Revenge was the top free app. Both games have been available since the App Store launched in July 2008.
There are currently over 25,000 applications available through the App Store. According to GI.biz, games represent about 30% of the free apps and 70% of the premium apps. As of this article, the App Store's racked up 953,318 downloads thus far.
