Football coaching/front office sim Quick Hit Football already has a handful of current NFL players but now they'll be joined by a slew of old-timers. Almost 100 retired players from various eras of NFL history will be featured in the game.

Among the NFL retirees featured in the game are Warren Moon, Randall Cunningham, Deacon Jones, and Eric Dickerson. The full list of players can be found here. Not all of them fit the "retired greats" classification (Ron Dayne? Seriously?) but plenty do.

Current NFL players Matt Cassel, Ray Lewis, Osi Umenyiora, Brian Westbrook and Jason Witten also appear in Quick Hit Football. Quick Hit founder Jeff Anderson explained to Blend Games in a recent interview that while EA owns the exclusive rights to creating NFL games, competing games can license a limited number of NFL players. Retired players aren't bound to the agreement between the NFL and EA so that's another way that the exclusivity can be circumvented.

Quick Hit, a free Flash-based PC game, launched at the beginning of the 2009-2010 NFL season. Head over yonder to start playing.
