Subscribe To New Hilarious Marvel Video Reveals What Thor And Hulk Were Doing During Civil War Updates
Marvel has never shied away from comedy. Even somber events like Captain America: Civil War still found time to deliver the laughs at every opportunity. However, Taika Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok looks like something on an entirely different level when it comes to comedy. A new behind the scenes video from Ragnarok shows exactly how Thor and Hulk spent their respective summers, and its one of the funniest things that we've ever seen from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Check it out below.
This footage actually premiered for the crowds at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this summer, but it seemingly generated enough buzz that Marvel finally decided to release it for a wider audience. The clip shows Thor living a normal life in a typical Australian apartment with an average guy named Daryl; having saved the world, he made the decision to take some well-deserved "me time." Living out their days like The Odd Couple, Thor and Daryl bicker, help each other send "electronic mail," and mess with one another whenever possible.
Eventually Thor and Bruce Banner meet up for lunch to discuss why they weren't invited to take part in the Civil War between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers. Thor has heard nothing from his fellow Avengers, which seems to have something to do with the fact that he primarily communicates by raven. It seems that the culture differences between Thor and his teammates might run deeper than we ever realized.
Although the video sheds plenty of light onto what Thor and Hulk were supposedly doing during the events of Civil War, it also helps to lay further groundwork for what's coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thor hasn't just been relaxing with Daryl in Australia, he has also done plenty of research into the Infinity Stones, as well as the big purple guy who doesn't like standing up a.k.a Josh Brolin's Thanos -- all while wearing a hoodie.
This video also continues to reinforce the notion that Chris Hemsworth should really be taking on more comedy roles in his career. The guy has had a hard time achieving box office gold outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that might be because he's choosing the wrong genre. Instead of dramas and action movies, Hemsworth should pull a Ryan Reynolds and stick to the realm of comedy. Having establishing his funny man credentials with Ghostbusters, Thor: Ragnarok could offer him the opportunity to deliver one of his most humorous superhero performances of all time.
We will bring you any and all relevant information related to the upcoming release of Thor: Ragnarok as more details become available to us. The epic, and hilarious looking third installment in the Thor franchise will hit theaters next fall on November 3, 2017.
