The Flight Attendant hit some turbulence before being able to begin takeoff. Why? The pandemic struck just as the series was getting into the clouds. Due to that, the cast and crew have been grounded – until now. Kaley Cuoco has revealed that she is finally back on set and wearing a mask for her new HBO Max series.

Yes, The Flight Attendant is finally back in action. Kaley Cuoco shared the exciting update on social media replete with a mask-clad photo of her and her co-star (formerly of Game of Thrones) Michiel Huisman. Like a recent share from When Calls the Heart’s Erin Krakow, Cuoco is donning her workplace mask while on set to ensure the safety of those around her. Check it out:

Someone looks happy to be back at work! Kaley Cuoco may be glad that she is not a flight attendant in real life. However, that has not at all dampened her enthusiasm to star in a show where she plays one. A not entirely surprising development when you consider that The Flight Attendant is a suspenseful dramedy, which should give her very different material to chew on than The Big Bang Theory did. Plus, I'm guessing it's just nice to get back to work.

Despite its deadly plotline, The Flight Attendant will be a combination of drama and comedy with suspenseful underpinnings and, as Cuoco previously indicated, the show will have multiple layers to it. It sounds like it could be a good entry into the original content game for HBO Max. In it, Huisman will be playing Alex, a charming and successful businessman per his initial casting. At the time, Huisman had gotten cast alongside Maniac’s Sonoya Mizuno.

Mizuno was later recast in the role of Miranda, who is also a businessperson. The role of Miranda will now get played by Doctor Who alum, Michelle Gomez, after the character’s “creative direction” changed. So, while Gomez did not get pictured with Kaley Cuoco and Michiel Huisman in the celebratory photo, expect her to be in the show.

This picture of Kaley Cuoco returning to work shows off her signature sense of humor, and accordingly, what she should bring to the set. These days, Kaley Cuoco and Michiel Huisman are getting back into the flow of things following an eventful couple of months where the actress tried to keep it light on social media. This fun picture is one of many that Kaley Cuoco has recently shared on social media. Since The Flight Attendant has gotten grounded, Cuoco has regaled fans with a sweet tribute to The Big Bang Theory and a post celebrating her second wedding anniversary. Now, Cuoco is back at work, and she seems to be loving it, mask-and-all.

Now that The Flight Attendant has resumed filming, fans will have to stand by to see if Kaley Cuoco posts more updates on social media. As you wait for Cuoco’s The Flight Attendant to start boarding streaming, check out this fall’s premieres. You can also check out Cuoco as Penny on The Big Bang Theory by binge-watching episodes on HBO Max.
