FBI’s Missy Peregrym Is Finally Back As Season 3 Filming Begins
Season 3 of FBI is welcoming back a familiar face in the form of Missy Peregrym. The actress, who plays Special Agent Maggie Bell on the drama co-created by Dick Wolf, has finally returned as production begins on FBI’s next season. Peregrym and her co-star Zeeko Zaki (special agent Omar Adom “O. A.” Zidan) did not waste time celebrating their return to the set.
FBI was one of the many series that had to deal with the abrupt and premature end to their previous season amid the response to the coronavirus pandemic earlier this year. Fast-forward to fall, and production is beginning with masks and social distancing measures in place. Check out Missy Peregrym and Zeeko Zaki on the set via the fun video below:
Masks and social distancing are all the rage these days, as you can see from Missy Peregrym and Zeeko Zaki’s video. Why the special shoutout regarding Peregrym’s return to set? In case you missed it, Peregrym was on maternity leave during a portion of FBI Season 2. Peregrym’s Maggie got an undercover assignment as her sabbatical story. Jump to October, and Missy Peregrym has welcomed her and husband Tom Oakley’s son and returned to work. There was some excitement for FBI fans while Maggie was away, so it was not all dull and drab. Chicago P.D.’s Hailey Upton came over via a network and series crossover. With Maggie gone, OA had to form a temporary partnership with Upton.
The road to a solid partnership was a bit rocky. However, the two managed to find common ground in the end. Of course, the coronavirus pandemic disrupted the flow of Upton’s arc on FBI, which was set to unfold for multiple episodes. Now that Missy Peregrym has had her baby, Maggie can return to OA and the rest of FBI’s cast.
For now, it seems that FBI is ready to get back to Maggie and OA. Hailey Upton is set to return for Season 8 of Chicago P.D. on NBC. It is unclear if what Zeeko Zaki said about solving crime from a six-foot distance will actually play out on-screen. I would imagine that Zaki and Missy Peregrym have both done their part to quarantine like other TV stars.
So, they should be able to closely share the screen. Right? Fans will eventually find out when FBI returns for Season 3. Despite the delay, FBI is set to be one of this fall’s premieres when it returns for Season 3 on CBS.
