Why Kim Kardashian Reportedly Decided To Support Kanye West At His Big Donda Listening Party, Despite The Divorce Mentions

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian on Keeping Up with the Kardashians

The relationship between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has been a rollercoaster as of late, as many spent much of last year speculating about the state of their marriage. Rumors of a strained union between the two were eventually proven correct earlier this year when it was reported that Kim Kardahian had filed for divorce after six years of marriage. Despite the two seemingly keeping their distance, Kardashian (in a gravity-defying bodysuit) recently attended West’s listening party for his upcoming Donda album, despite the mentions of their divorce on the album. Well, now it’s been suggested that Kardashian was given a little push when it came to deciding whether to attend the event.

If reports are to be believed, Kardashian-Jenner matriarch Kris Jenner is the reason Kim Kardashian decided to support soon-to-be-ex-husband Kanye West at his Donda event. A source for Hollywood Life actually goes as far as to say that Jenner is “the main reason” we saw her daughter living it up at the party. But why would the momager motivate her daughter to attend?

The source states that Kris Jenner’s alleged push stems from a desire for her daughters to work on their relationships with those closest to them. And based on the claims, Jenner has done plenty of peacemaking in her time:

Kris always instilled that in them and the importance of working on their relationships and having positive ones with the father of their children no matter what. She’s also a fixer and has been instrumental in helping all of her children to have good relationships. She’s smart and these are somewhat of business transactions in her eyes to see the family put together. She wants the wholesome look for the family. She has no problem holding a meeting and playing mediator between her children and the other party. She will pick up the phone to help no matter what and she’s usually successful.

On that note, the source made a few more specific claims in regard to the relationships Kris Jenner has apparently helped smooth out. And the romances mentioned are ones the Kardashian faithful are surely more than familiar with:

Same when you see Khloe giving Tristan tons of chances, and Kylie and Travis being a united front, and Kourtney and Scott vacationing together. It’s all her doing. Kris has always drilled in those girls that family is number one. She’s encouraged their happiness but also family unity.

If Kris Jenner was indeed the one who encouraged Kim Kardashian to attend Kanye West’s listening party, then her abilities as a mediator are pretty serious. As mentioned, things have seemed somewhat uncertain for Kardashian and West over the past few months. Fans also viewed the references to their relationship on the album as being somewhat awkward, though reports claim Kardashian actually helped to craft some of those lyrics.

Still, after a number of growing pains within their new realities, they seem to have found some common ground, particularly when it comes to raising their four children. Just a few weeks ago, the two actually enjoyed an outing with their kids, and West even took on childcare duties when Kardashian recently jetted off to Rome for a vacation.

Should this trend of positive co-parenting continue, there’s a chance we could see the pair out and about together at some point in the future. But in the meantime, Kim Kardahian will likely keep to her business ventures and thirst traps, while Kanye West continues to live in a stadium in order to finish work on the album.
