Haze Hype - Day 4: Halo 3 Screenshot Comparison

published: 2007-08-12 04:53:22
We're up to Day 4 and there's more screenshots on the way for Haze. Now considering that a dozen other websites out there already have the newly released screenshots, we figured we would have a comparison between Halo 3 and Haze. Seriously, why not? Added to that we’ll go over the different ways in which players can exploit Mantel Corp., with Nectar.

Now when you’re playing as the rebels the most tactical advantage you’ll have in combat is using Nectar against Mantel. One way of doing this is stripping the Nectar pack off a dead Mantel soldier and strapping it to a grenade – toss the makeshift grenade at Mantel soldiers and watch as they kill off their own from the Nectar overdose. Better yet, throw the Nectar-grenade at Mantel soldiers and run in and snatch up the Mantel soldiers’ weapons.

Another really cool feature is being able to use melee and knifing attacks to cause Mantel soldiers to overdose. Dip your knife in a Nectar pack of a fallen Mantel soldier and when you throw it at another Mantel soldier you can watch as the Nectarized knife gets lodged into his body, causing him to overdose. Another way to use Nectar against Mantel – yes, there’s more – is by getting in a good shot on their Nectar pack, which can ultimately result in instant death or roid-rage...I mean, Nectar-rage.

You can view some of the remaining screenshots from Day 3 below, along with comparison shots between Haze and Halo 3. If I must say so myself, both games look strikingly similar. Graphically, Free Radical has Haze right up there alongside Bungie’s Halo 3. That’s impressive, real impressive. For those of you who may have been expecting more, don't get your face in a frizzle. We'll have a much more detailed graphics comparison between Haze and Halo 3 after this year's upcoming Leipzig Game Conference. Until then, enjoy the images below.

Be sure to check in for more Haze coverage as CB Games Road To Hype Haze continues.
