Sega revealed today that Napoleon: Total War will be available in two forms: a standard edition and a more expensive Imperial Edition. The Imperial Edition costs £39.99 ($65) bundle so don't expect any extravagances like a plastic musket or replica Napoleon hat.
Premium packaging
A3 poster - "The Life and Battles of General Napoleon Bonaparte"
"Elite Regiment" Special Unit Pack - "The most superb infantry and cavalrymen who fought during the great Napoleonic battles: 10 exclusive units, which will all make a difference during key engagements, whether using formidable weapons or exceptional tactical skills."
"Heroes of the Napoleonic Wars" Special Unit Pack - "A collection of 5 of the most Elite Forces of the Napoleonic Wars, from all the major European factions. They proved their bravery, discipline and excellence in key battles and will dramatically expand the player’s strategic options on the battlefield.
The Imperial Edition will be available through retailers and as a Steam digital exclusive. The unit packs will be unlocked via a download code provided with the game. GAME, Amazon and PLAY each offer an additional unit to UK pre-order customers as well.
There's no mention of whether North America will receive the Imperial Edition as well. It's possible that Sega of America will announce something after the holiday weekend's over, though.
Update: It's available for pre-purchase in digital form through Steam in North America. No poster or special packaging, though, obviously.
