Ubisoft announced today that their dancing game Just Dance has passed the two million mark in worldwide sales. See? Third-party Wii games can sell well.

Dance hit stores in November 2009 and, according to Ubisoft, is "the fastest-selling new intellectual property from a third-party publisher on Wii." The NPD states that it was the best-selling music/rhythm Wii game in the US from December 2009 to February 2010. Music/rhythm's not a particularly crowded genre, true, but this means that Dance outsold the likes of The Beatles: Rock Band and Guitar Hero 5 on that platform.

Considering these sales figure, it should be no surprise that Ubisoft's apparently planning a new dancing game.
