Weekly Recap: Destiny 2 In Development And 5 Other Noteworthy Stories

We've already managed to head into the second week of November, getting ever-so-close to 2015. This past week ended with a lot of big news, including Bungie committing with the 10-year cycle of Destiny content by acknowledging work on the sequel. Blizzard unveiled Overwatch at this year's BlizzCon 2014 event – it's a team-based, first-person shooter, in case you were wondering – and IGN has committed to overhauling their code of ethics and public policies regarding disclosure. Very, very, very interesting news there.

Additionally, we have a list of reasons why Halo is still worth playing, and Nintendo makes it known that they're bringing back one of the classic adventure titles from the N64 era for Nintendo 3DS gamers. These stories and more in this November 8th, 2014 edition of the Gaming Blend Weekly Recap.

Xbox One Price-Drop Is A Go

I may be one of the biggest Xbox One detractors out there, and I may have a raging middle-finger splintered up and pointed at a certain company at most times, but even I have to admit that the $350 deal on the Xbox One looks mighty tempting this holiday season. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Disney Infinity 2.0 mark some of the big releases this week. Nintendo is considering getting rid of their Machiavellian region-locking policies. A new update is inbound for Warlords of Draenor. Xbox One owners get to play Dragon Age: Inquisition before anyone else. CD Projekt RED delivers once again... promising to give gamers up to 16 pieces of free downloadable content for The Witcher 3. Bungie actually cares about fans. How much do they care? Well, check out this touching gift for an avid Destiny player. In preparation for the wide release of Interstellar, Early Access game Habitat has a rather cheeky Q&A. And if you thought you were getting a free-pass with Far Cry 4's system requirements... think again. You'll need a 64-bit OS to make it work.

Blizzard's Next Big Game Unveiled

Blizzard officially unveiled their next big game... Overwatch. It reminds me of Team Fortess 2 meets a Pixar movie. Mixamo offers Garry's Mod and Source Filmmaker users a nice little upgrade with easy-implementation of Fuse. Circling back around to Blizzard, they've announced some new updates for Hearthstone you might want to check out. Oh, well there's even more Blizzard news... that's what happens when it's BlizzCon 2014, folks: StarCraft II is receiving two new multiplayer modes.
