You can’t believe everything the “weirdos” are saying about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, but Jason Kelce is one trusted source who’s been sharing some details from July 3 inside Madison Square Garden. It sounds like it was a pretty wild night, as Travis’ best man described the “giant party” that went down following the emotional vow exchange. However, Jason’s reception antics apparently weren’t the problem, as he explained why his wife Kylie Kelce might not be happy with him.
Not too many details have come out about what Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift said to each other in their vows when they got “JUST&T MARRIED” a month ago, but sources have painted quite a sentimental scene. One wedding guest described “300-pound men from the football business crying,” and while I can’t speak to Jason Kelce’s weight, he did address his emotions when he sat down with 94WIP Sports Radio. When asked straight-up if he cried during his brother’s wedding, Jason said:
Yes, I did. I mean, you know this, guys. I’m a crier. I’ve been on this station multiple times on camera. I am a crier. I did cry. I probably cried more at this wedding than I cried at my own wedding, which probably is not acceptable. Kylie is probably not happy about that.
Uh oh. Of course Jason Kelce would have strong feelings about seeing Travis marry the woman who called him the “human exclamation point.” And yes, we know that the former Philadelphia Eagle isn’t shy about shedding a few tears (remember his Taylor Swift lyric-filled retirement speech?). However, he might have wanted to make sure he didn’t give indications that Travis and Taylor’s vows were more special than the ones he exchanged with Kylie Kelce eight years earlier.
Look, we know Kylie Kelce is “not gonna lie,” either, when she’s upset about something. Just take her reaction to people asking for tea about her brother-in-law’s wedding in the weeks ahead of July 3. So if Jason thinks Kylie is “not happy,” she probably has already told him as much.
On the other hand, I think it’s more likely that Kylie Kelce also got caught up in the emotions of the day (maybe not shedding as many tears as her husband though). Since then she’s even made rare comments about Taylor Swift to say the ceremony only made things official, because the “Opalite” singer has been family for quite a while now. Kylie said the wedding was “intimate and incredible and full of love.”
That’s one thing that Jason and Kylie Kelce definitely agree on, as the retired NFL star said his brother’s wedding was “more than 10 out of 10.” He described Adam Sandler as the “perfect” officiant and said his favorite part was seeing so many different people in one place — from Brad Pitt to “Mrs. Clark” from Jason and Travis’ high school.
There’s no doubt Travis Kelce’s wedding was on a different level than Jason Kelce’s (and probably every other non-royal human), so I highly doubt Kylie is actually going to hold any grudges against her husband for having an emotional reaction. But, just in case, Jason, flowers never hurt.
