As Marvel Cinematic Universe stories continue to permeate cinemas, the franchise is also still spreading its wings within the realm of TV. The last few years have seen fans treated to great shows set within the MCU proper, like Daredevil: Born Again and Wonder Man, as well as some set outside it, such as X-Men ‘97 and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. And, luckily for fans, there’s more small-screen content to come in addition to those upcoming Marvel movies!

Marvel Studios cranked out a plethora of offerings during its first several years in the TV game, but the company has since pulled back a bit. Although the brand is now being a bit more judicious about what it produces, Disney+ subscription holders still have a mixture of new and returning shows to look forward to in the near future. So let’s run through those forthcoming titles, shall we?

X-Men '97 Season 2 (Mid 2026)

X-Men '97 was critically acclaimed, with many considering it to be the best adaptation of the superheroic mutants to ever reach a screen. So it wasn’t all that surprising when it was confirmed that a second season had been greenlit. Production on those episodes began in 2022 ahead of the first season’s premiere in 2024. .

The creative team is somewhat different this time around, though, as series creator and showrunner Beau DeMayo was fired by Marvel in early 2024 and ultimately replaced with What If…? alum Matthew Chauncey. While his credits were removed, DeMayo did write a lot of the season before his exit. Exact plot details are currently being kept under wraps, but the Season 1 finale teased the return of En Sabah Nur (a.k.a. Apocalypse).

Also, as announced at New York Comic Con 2025, Eric and Julia Lewald – who wrote for X-Men: The Animated Series and Larry Houston – a director on that OG series – are all returning as executive producers for ‘97. And, on top of all that, a third season is in the works now as well.

X-Men ‘97 Season 2 is set to premiere sometime in mid-2026.

White Vision sneering in WandaVision

VisionQuest (October 14, 2026)

The last time audiences saw Vision was during the events of 2021’s WandaVision, which introduced a white incarnation of the fan-favorite android. In the series finale, that robot fled, with his fate being left unknown. However, it's now known that the character’s story will continue in a new MCU show called VisionQuest, with Paul Bettany reprising his role as the titular character.

VisionQuest took a major step forward in 2024 when Terry Matalas, of Star Trek: Picard fame, was brought on as showrunner and director. The show was officially announced at NYCC 2025 (years after it was initially reported to be in the works). Bettany teased during the convention that the show would see White Vision trying to piece together the memories transferred to him by the OG Vision. The series will effectively conclude the TV "trilogy" that was started by WandaVision and continued in Agatha All Along.

Bettany is also joined by an excellent cast, which includes James Spader returning as Ultron, fellow MCU OG James D’Arcy playing J.A.R.V.I.S. Also, Henry Lewis plays D.U.M.-E, Jonathan Sayer portrays U, Orla Brady plays F.R.I.D.A.Y. and Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H. What’s also particularly exciting is that Ruaridh Mollica has been confirmed in the role of Thomas Shepherd, the reincarnated version of Vision and Wanda Maximoff’s son, Tommy.

As confirmed during the 2026 Disney Upfront presentation, VisionQuest is set to grace Disney+ with its technological presence on October 14, 2026.

Spider-Man swings in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 (Late 2026)

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man was praised ahead of its debut in January 2025, and Marvel TV clearly felt good about this new take on Peter Parker's high school years from the jump. That's because the show was already renewed for a second season way back in 2022 while Season 1 was still in development.

As fans would expect, plot details on the new episodes are scarce at the moment. It seems likely, though, that series creator Jeff Trammell and co. will pick up the plot threads left dangling after the first season's finale. That includes the surprise appearance of Richard Parker, Peter's jailed father, during that defining installment. Something Trammell also confirmed was that Season 2 would introduce Gwen Stacy to shake up Peter's world just a bit, and footage shown at NYCC teased Peter once again doing battle with the symbiote.

Jeff Trammell also provided an ominous promise about Season 2 in 2025. According to the EP, this next batch of episodes will be “more and more grand, more tragic” and "more funny.”

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 swings onto Disney+. sometime in late 2026.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 (March 2027)

Even before Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 premiered to positive reviews, the show had already been renewed for a third season. That renewal was confirmed in September 2025 and, by October, series showrunner Dario Scardapane provided an update in the form of a photo taken from the writers’ room.

Not too many plot details have been divulged about the upcoming season as of right now, though Scardapane has been dropping some hints following the Season 2 finale. That massive episode sees Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock revealing his identity as Daredevil to the general public and later being arrested for his vigilantism. Also, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk (a.k.a. the Kingpin) is finally ousted from his post as the mayor of New York City, and he relocates. Though the imposing villain will return for the new season.

Filming for Season 3 began around March 2026 and, amid production, Scardapane has been teasing that the season will take inspiration from several comic book storylines. Given Matt’s current position, one of those arcs will be “The Devil in Cell-Block D.” The EP has also confirmed that psychiatrist Heather Glenn will become the next Muse. Also, the second-season finale marks the return of Luke Cage (played by Mike Colter), and set photos have teased that he’ll return alongside Jessica Jones and Danny Rand in Season 3.

Daredevil: Born Again is expected to be released on Disney+ in March 2027.

Kamala Khan using her powers in Marvel Zombies

Marvel Zombies Season 2 (TBA)

It’s not often that MCU fans receive horror-tinged or gory fare from the franchise, and that’s exactly what they received when Marvel Zombies debuted in September 2025. While it was initially reported that the four-episode show would be a miniseries, it was confirmed around April 2026 that a second season was in production.

A spinoff of Marvel’s What If…?, Zombies takes place in an alternate continuity in which the world has been ravaged by a virus that’s transformed people into undead creatures. Kamala Khan (who’s once again played by Iman Vellani) leads a ragtag group of characters who believe they have the key to saving humanity. The first season sees a number of fan-favorite MCU characters die and, ultimately, it ends with Kamala awaking in what appears to be a renewed world.

The last few moments of the finale, however, suggest that Kamala is only experiencing a false reality set forth by Wanda Maximoff, the leader of the zombies. Although Season 2’s story has not been revealed, it feels like a given that it’ll pick up from the finale.

A release window has yet to be announced for Marvel Zombies Season 2 though, when it comes out, it’ll be released on Disney+.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley look shocked on an episode of Wonder Man.

Wonder Man Season 2 (TBA)

Some fans might argue that Wonder Man has proven to be a pleasant surprise, as critics have praised the MCU series as a fresh addition to the canon. Marvel seemingly took notice of the positive buzz that ensued after the Destin Daniel Cretton-created show premiered in January 2026. That assertion is based on the fact that the show has since been renewed for a second season.

The show follows aspiring actor Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), who tries to navigate the industry while hiding the fact that he has ionic-based super powers. Simon’s world is shaken up after he meets fellow actor (and ex-Mandarin portrayer) Trevor Slattery and he lands an audition for the remake of Wonder Man, the superhero movie he loved during his youth.

By the end of the season, Simon is a bonafide star and the lead of the aforementioned film. However, in the closing moments of the finale, Williams breaks into the Department of Damage Control to rescue Trevor after he reprises the Mandarin to cover for Simon’s actions. From there, it remains to be seen what lies ahead for Simon and Trevor and, hopefully, we’ll find out sooner rather than later.

It’s currently unknown when Wonder Man will return to Disney+ for its second season.
