The crime-riddled streets of APB Reloaded are about to sport a brand new sheen of spooky paint as the game gears up for a special two-week Halloween celebration, starting today, Oct. 24, and running through Nov. 6.
APB Reloaded, the free-to-play MMO shooter set in a fictionalized modern day and featuring loads of cops, criminals and street thugs, today begins a very special two-week Halloween screamfest, complete with exclusive content, new settings and music from Scottish “rap/thrash n’ roll” band, Certain Death.
“For two whole weeks, APB Reloaded’s 3 million registered players will have a horrifying Halloween, with a range of creepy new content and chilling challenges,” reads a statement from developer Reloaded Productions. “The game’s hugely popular Fight Club mode becomes Fright Club, set within an abandoned asylum, packed with petrifying players and ghoulish gang members.”
To help provide the darker, more sinister atmosphere, Certain Death will be lending four tracks to the game’s soundtrack, including Beat from the Street, Sex Drive and Burnin’ Up.
A new Punk Pack will also be added to the in-game store soon, offering up new clothing items and a scoped version of the new primary weapon, the STAC 10. Players will also have access to some more sinister offerings, including bat and devil wings, witch and wizard hats, and weapon themes featuring pumpkins and glow in the dark paint jobs.
“Halloween is a great time of year for APB Reloaded,” said European Managing Director of Reloaded Productions, Michael Boniface. “We’ve created a lot of new content for players over the last few years and it always gets an amazing reaction from players. This year we’re taking things even further, with the creation of Fright Club, the new in-game content and challenges. Working with Certain Death makes it all the better, creating the perfect soundtrack to the game’s latest update.”
To get in on the frighteningly good time, simply head on over to the APB Reloaded page on Steam, download the game and start playing for free. The Halloween tricks and treats should be ready to roll as soon as you hit the streets.
