Xbox Live's Black Friday sale is finally over but it's been replaced with a new set of discounts. While the current sale isn't quite as big as the Black Friday sales-mageddon, there are some quality games available for cheap.
I've expressed my love for Guacamelee! on numerous occasions but I'll do so again. This Metroidvania is a challenging-but-satisfying mix of combo-based platforming and combat. On top of that, the game's also really funny. The "Super Turbo Championship Edition" brings several new features including two levels and four-player local co-op. The game's 75% cheaper thanks to this sale as well.
The Darksiders franchise is also super-cheap as well now. These third-person action games mix elements from games like God of War to Zelda to great effect. The comic book art style by Joe Madureira ties the whole package together. The huge discounts across the first two games and Darksiders 2's Season Pass will make it affordable for you to catch up on the series while you wait for Darksiders 3.
Red Faction: Guerrilla is another stand-out on the list. It's an open-world action game set on Mars. What really set it apart from so many other games was how detailed the environment destruction as. You could break buildings apart piece-by-piece and make them collapse from enough damage. It's so much fun that you can easily overlook some of the game's major flaws, such as the story. I spent a lot of time simply smashing buildings with a sledgehammer just to watch it break. It's the kind of game that makes you feel like an eight-year-old stepping on ants again.
Here's the full list of discounts available through December 7th.
