Wonder Woman Has Screened, Here’s What Critics Think

After more than 75 years worth of appearances in comics, television, animation and video games, Wonder Woman is finally getting her own theatrical movie in less than a month. Audiences got their first taste of the DC Extended Universe's Diana last year in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Wonder Woman will turn the clock back to show what Diana's first experiences with humanity were like. While the common folk still have a few more weeks before they can see Wonder Woman for themselves, the blockbuster has been screened a few times over the last week to reporters, critics and lucky attendees, and those folks are finally able to give their early reactions.

First up is CinemaBlend's own Eric Eisenberg, who proclaimed Wonder Woman to be his favorite movie from the DCEU so far.

Taking place almost 100 years before Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman will follow Diana of Themyscira as she ventures off her mythical island home for the first time to accompany Steve Trevor back to "man's world" and try to put an early end to World War I. The movie's cast includes Gal Gadot as Diana, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Danny Huston as General Erich Ludendorff, Lucy Davis as Etta Candy, Elena Anaya as Doctor Poison and David Thewlis as Sir Patrick Morgan, which is reportedly a disguise for Ares.

Wonder Woman opens in theaters on June 2.
