After Hawkeye Gets Disney+ Premiere Date, MCU Fans Are Getting Vocal About Ms. Marvel
Marvel and Disney+ are not slowing down with their slate of original shows. Ahead of the release of Marvel’s What If…? in just a couple of weeks, an official first look at Hawkeye was released, along with a November premiere date. While fans are excited about the new series, especially after Black Widow, some can’t help but wonder about fellow Disney+ series Ms. Marvel, which was supposed to come out later this year.
Ms. Marvel was expected to have a release date for later this year, but not everyone is feeling so confident after Hawkeye got a release date of November 24. While it’s still possible that the upcoming series could come out over the next few months, some fans are craving any news on the new series, whether that’d be a release date or a trailer, as one fan on Twitter is begging:
It’s likely that if Ms. Marvel is still set to release this year, it would be before Hawkeye, meaning that we are long overdue for a release date. But when will Marvel finally make good on their word? One fan is making sure Marvel knows which show should come first on the slate:
With Marvel’s What If…? releasing on August 11, a finale date of October 13 has already been announced. Some fans are theorizing that Ms. Marvel could release between What If…? and Hawkeye, giving all three series a chance to air this year. Although the window might be tight, fans are not giving up hope:
Eagle-eyed Marvel fans are also bringing up set photos from Ms. Marvel, as a few pictures have indicated a Halloween episode. If that above fan theory is correct about the series premiering after What If…? it could perfectly place the Halloween episode, as another fan pointed out:
Meanwhile, some fans are still questioning whether or not Ms. Marvel will actually release this year. Since there is such a tight window between What If…? and Hawkeye, it’s possible Marvel wouldn’t want to release new episodes of more than one series at a time. And because of it, people are wondering if it’s going to get delayed until much later:
Even though the news of Hawkeye’s release got plenty of Marvel fans excited for what’s to come, Ms. Marvel possibly being pushed to 2022 seems increasingly likely. And perhaps a delay would be the better move for Marvel considering it's supposed to tie-in to The Marvels, especially so they won’t be promoting so many projects at once in such a short timeframe. The studio will not only be focusing on Hawkeye but The Eternals and Spider-Man: No Way Home as we get closer to the end of the year:
