Microsoft announced a second round of Black Friday deals for Xbox Live today as promised. Dozens of games on Xbox One and Xbox 360 are now on sale at a steep discount.

The deals on Xbox One and Xbox 360 both apply only to Xbox Live Gold members. Unlike the PSN Black Friday Sale, the Xbox Live sale doesn't offer smaller discounts to non-subscribers. If you don't have Gold, you'll be paying full price.

The Xbox One got the better share of the new discounts. Xbox One owners can get a lot of big 2014 releases like Titanfall, Wolfenstein and Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor for cheap. Xbox 360 gamers weren't left out in the cold, though. The previously announced Xbox Live discounts were skewed toward the older console.

The following Xbox One discounts are live now and will run until December 1st, the same day that the other XBL deals expire:

Xbox One
  • NHL 15 - Game - 45% off
  • Madden 15 - Game - 45% off
  • FIFA 15 Holiday Edition - Game - 45% off
  • Watch Dogs - Game - 33% off
  • Titanfall - Game - 75% off
  • Titanfall (Bundle) - Game - 75% off
  • Titanfall Season Pass - DLC - 75% off

  • Battlefield 4 Premium - DLC - 50% off
  • Wolfenstein: The New Order - Game - 50% off
  • Ryse (Legendary Edition) - Game - 50% off
  • The Evil Within - Game - 50% off
  • The Walking Dead Season 1 - Game - 40% off
  • The Walking Dead Season 2 - Game - 40% off
  • The Walking Dead Season 1 + 2 bundle - Game - 50% off
  • Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Digital Pro - Game - 10% off
  • Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor - Game - 50% off
  • Destiny Digital Guardian Edition - Game - 10% off
Wolfenstein: The New Order was actually one of our Black Friday picks for Xbox One. It has arguably the best single-player campaign of any shooter released this year. Machine Games created a game that's faithful to older Wolfenstein games but also caters to the higher expectations of today's shooter fans.

There are a lot of good options, though. I don't think Titanfall, Watch Dogs or Destiny lived up to the years of aggressive marketing but they're fun enough. Buying them at a discount might lower your expectations enough to love them.

These Xbox 360 discounts are also in effect until December 1st:

Xbox 360
  • NHL 15 - Game - 50% off
  • Madden 15 - Game - 50% off
  • FIFA 15 - Game - 50% off
  • Need for Speed Rivals Complete Edition - Game - 50% off
  • Battlefield 4 Premium - DLC - 50% off
  • Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel - Game - 33% off
  • Grand Theft Auto San Andreas - Game - 75% off
  • Watch Dogs - Game - 42% off
  • The Evil Within - Game - 50% off
  • Payday 2 - Game - 75% off
  • Terraria - Game - 75% off
  • Destiny - Game - 17% off
  • Dark Souls II - Game - 40% off
On an amusing side note, Microsoft accidentally listed Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel as an add-on rather than a game in their run-down of these deals. They're probably not the only ones who mistook The Pre-Sequel for being an expansion to Borderlands 2 rather than a full-fledged game. I think you'll enjoy it if you're a Borderlands fan, though.
