David Beckham shared images of he and the Spice Girl returning to a hotel they stayed at when they first started dating, and Victoria donned a beautiful sheer dress for the occasion.
The Beckhams celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary in July, but this recent trip to Portofino, Italy, took them back even further than that. The elite Splendido hotel was apparently where Posh Spice and David Beckham had their first getaway together before making their relationship public. They returned there 29 years later — apparently with 21-year-old son Cruz and 15-year-old daughter Harper in tow — with the footballer posting on Instagram:
I’m kind of obsessed with David Beckham being so enthralled with his wife that he wants to take a video of her walking around the hotel — especially since that destination has so much personal meaning for them.
The soccer star has definitely been known to troll Victoria Beckham, as we all saw on the Beckham docuseries (streaming with your Netflix subscription) when he told her to “Be honest” about what she called her “working-class” upbringing. (She went on to admit her dad had driven a Rolls-Royce at the time.)
That viral moment has lived on by way of an Uber Eats Super Bowl commercial and her most recent birthday celebration, so this is a nice change of pace. It reminds us that this is the same David Beckham whose favorite Spice Girls song involves the moment he knew he was going to marry Victoria. His caption on his recent vacay post reads:
