EIFF 08: The Wackness Gala

It's not often a movie can develop a cult following before it's release, but somehow The Wackness is making a damn good go of it. Beloved of our own Head Honcho Josh Tyler, I've still to catch the movie myself at EIFF but hope to by the end of this week. It is garnering major buzz from those who have seen it as the most unlikely hit movie of the year and I don't want to have to wait another two months to find out why. The soundtrack alone has me sold.

Sadly, Ben Kingsley and Josh Peck were not at EIFF for its premiere, instead the Festival had an afternoon show where they erected a giant canvas with little more than the two main stars and the movie logo. It was then up to two local graffitti artists to fill the rest of the white space, which they did to great effect over the course of two hours. The crowd was then treated to a show of some dope breakin', which I recorded for your viewing pleasure. You can also check some images of the Electric Boogaloo action below.
