Anderson Already Writing Next Film

Over the last decade, acclaimed director P.T. Anderson has given the world three brilliant films and an incredible yearning for more. It’s hard to grasp that his last movie, Punch Drunk Love was released almost five years ago, but thankfully the wait is nearly over as There Will Be Blood is expected to be released some time later this year. Many observers had speculated that it would most likely be another five years before his follow-up, but there seems to be a steadily growing mound of evidence to the contrary.

According to Slash Film, the helmer recently told Entertainment Weekly that he’s already hard at work writing his next masterpiece. Details are vague and sketchy as of right now, but expect it to be an excessively long emotional roller coaster with interweaving themes and wonderful character acting. It’s really a shame that talented directors like P.T. Anderson go years without making a film while a bevy of hacks continue to bombard moviegoers with cliched abortions, but I’ll definitely take sporadic efforts from visionaries over nothing at all.
