Half-Blood Prince Gets Enscribed

With ‘Goblet of Fire’ nearing release, the series’ producing team is out talking about what’s in store for Harry, Hermione, and Ron once four is over and done with. They’ve already been filming movie five, but producer David Heyman let fly a little news about the sixth film as well.

At a press junket in London, Heyman revealed that Steve Kloves, who wrote the scripts for the first four ‘Harry Potter’ movies, but who couldn't commit to the fifith, will return to write the sixth movie, ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’.

No word on any potential directors at the moment, but I'm sure many people are crossing their fingers that Alfonso Cuaron will return. Michael Goldenberg is writing 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix as Kloves is busy working on his own project as writer/director, an adaptation of the novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in Night-Time.

Of course, the bigger question for Potter 6 is whether or not the kid cast will even be back. Nothing concrete came out of the press junket, but Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson both dropped strong hints that they would like to return after having read the book. We’ll have to wait a bit for any official announcement o that, but with Kloves officially in the writer's chair expect more Potter 6 news to start flowing.

Thanks to Matt S. for the tip.
