Lost Writers Set To Reveal The Secret Of The Numbers

After two seasons of ‘Lost’ the writers are finally ready to give up the secret of “the numbers”. Of course it wont be as simple as a press release announcing their meaning. Instead they’ve decided to let fans dig for clues to figure out the meaning behind the popular digits through their interactive game The Lost Experience.

If you’re not a fan of the show or if its been too long since you’ve watched it and are scratching your head trying to figure out what the seemingly magic numbers are, they’re 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 43. The numbers have come up in various ways throughout the two seasons of the show. They were the numbers Hurley used to win the lottery. Hurley got them from the mutterings of a crazy man he met in an institution. They were also stenciled on the outside of the hatch and they’re the numbers that Locke has been typing in for almost all of season 2 to keep the world from imploding due to a surge of electromagnetic energy (or something similarly catastrophic). The numbers have come up in other ways as well (its become sort of a game among fans to spot them in the episodes).

So we know the numbers are important but what do they mean? Figure it out by joining the other fans participating in The Lost Experience.
