BBC America To Air The Tudors In 2011

Second verse, same as the first! BBC America announced today that they have acquired the rights to Showtime’s popular drama series The Tudors and from the information they released, they’re not wasting any time sharing the series with their viewers.

BBC America made the announcement today, stating that they now have exclusive basic cable rights for Showtime’s The Tudors. The series stars Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and follows the dramatic story of Henry VIII, his inevitable conflicts with the Catholic Church and of course, his numerous marital arrangements.

BBC America already has a marathon lined up for January. The basic cable network will air an all-day marathon of Season 1 and 2 episodes on Sunday, January 16th starting at 9:00 a.m. PT/ET. Subsequent episodes will air every Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
